Linux-only test on a PC

This video shows both the client app and the server app running on a Linux PC (Kubuntu 9.04). Also, there is a map server running on top of the PostGIS database, so the changes can be immediately seen with a WMS client:

Implementing a FODB vector driver in gvSIG Mobile

One of the biggest advantages of the architecture proposed and implemented by Manu is that gvSIG Mobile provides an API that can be accessed via HTTP by any application (in this case the Openmis client application).

Another possibility is to add the Openmis client as part of gvSIG Mobile (ideally as an extension) so the overall architecture is simpler. I have done this with my gvSIG Mobile for Openmoko version. You can see here how it's done. Click to see large image:
